History: Gavin was born William Gavin Fitzwilliam son of Lord Charles William Fitzwilliam 11th Earl Fitzwilliam and his wife Lady Abigail. He has no brothers or sisters but is very close to his cousins, children of his uncle Thomas Fitzwilliam.
He attended an all boys boarding school as a child and has been trained in how to manage the estate when the time comes for him to take over. He’s been taught riding and hunting, both with a rifle and a long bow, since he was a child and took an interest in writing at a rather early age.
He has many good acquaintances but very few close friends. His mother runs the family with an iron fist, something that has caused a log of clashing between her and her son, and she is very eager that he should find a nice girl or boy to settle down with and give her grandchildren.

keptwriting) at the age of twenty when his mother had finally given up on trying to push her son into a relationship and decided that taking in lodgers would be a much better way to achieve her goals. Gabe was the fourth lodger taken in and the first one that actually work, though not quite in the way she’d hoped for.
It took some months but slowly Gavin began to trust and open up to Gabe and they grew to become very close friends. Though Abigail has tried a few times to nudge them together in a romantic sense there has never been anything except very deep friendship between them.
About three years after meeting Gabe the two of them decided to move out together, finding a nice house quite close to Gavin’s family home but still far enough to give them some distance from Abigail’s meddling. Everything they own is in Gabe’s name due Gavin’s strong need for privacy.
Gavin has been supporting himself as a writer of horror stories, under his own name, and romance novels, under a pseudonym. While he enjoys both genres his strongest passions still lies with the romance.
He’s had a number of short relationships but since leaving school none has lasted for long and without realizing it he’s been living platonically married with Gabe for over ten years.
Personality: Gavin is very comfortable in his own skin and with who he is and is not very likely to doubt himself without a very good reason. He’s steady, both in body and personality.
He has a very easygoing nature and makes friends easily. However, if you are friends with him long enough and, more importantly, manages to get close enough you might notice that he very rarely lets people in close and that mos his friends are just a few steps away from being acquaintances really. He is a very private person, maybe because his mother doesn’t allow for much privacy in the family, and he tends to keep his own problems locked away from other people.
He has a rather short temper, but it tends to pass about as quickly as it comes, and he tends to yell when he’s angry. He doesn’t generally hold any serious grudges, though he is known to hold onto small annoyances forever, and if he stays upset with someone for an extended period of time it’s more than likely both serious and there to stay.
He believes in keeping your friends close and your enemies far, far away where they can’t make trouble for you.
He’s a good and attentive listener, with one crucial flaw. If you tell him of your problems be prepared that he will do anything in his power to fix them. Though he is of the opinion that people should fix their own problems, he’s also of the opinion that a lot of people need help, in this case his help, to get their buts in gear.
He is very nosy, though he would refer to it as being inquisitive, and has a habit of getting himself involved with other people’s problems even if he’s not been asked to help and/or it really isn’t any of his business.
On the whole he is much more like his mother than he could ever manage to admit. Which might be the reason why they clash so easily. In spite of this he has a very good and close relationship with his parents along with his extended family.
While not a health freak but he works out like whoa very regularly which also helps him clear his mind. Especially running has proved very useful when he's suffering from writer's block.
He is a keen study of human nature. He enjoys watching people and figuring out what makes them tick and over the years he’s become very good at it.
